2024 Astrology Overview & Video Horoscopes

Hi Friends,
Welcome to 2024 as we embark upon a new era unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. In more ways than one, 2024 functions as a gigantic portal to a new way of doing things, as the three outer planets work in tandem to assist us in creating a new reality. In the second part of the year, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto will work together to elevate mass consciousness, securing the Age of Aquarius. Technology and spirituality will assist this shift into a completely new paradigm that triumphs individuality and personal growth as more of us unplug from the oppressive mental matrix of restriction.

Still, we must stay aware that for a brand-new epoch to be birthed, the old structures will simultaneously continue their process of collapsing, as they have been for quite a while now. The outer planets are where all the action continues to ferment in 2024, beginning with Jupiter as it awakens from its retrograde cycle as we start the New Year. Jupiter has been visiting the materialistic and value-oriented sign of Taurus since May 16, 2023. This transit continues until May 25, 2024, encouraging us to expand our awareness of values and establish ourselves while we build upon what we own and have.

Jupiter in Taurus inspires us to embrace our need for comfort, security, grounding, stability, collecting, and providing for ourselves. But before its departure in Taurus, Jupiter has an epic meeting with Uranus in Taurus on April 20, 2024, which is bound to enliven the financial and real estate markets or currency issues around the world. We can see anything from a gold-backed cryptocurrency to the introduction of universal basic income, or a reevaluation of real estate values, or some form of humanitarian financial program.

On May 25th, Jupiter departs Taurus for the curious and communicative sign of Gemini. During this Gemini cycle of Jupiter, we place great emphasis on the intellect. We believe there is an opportunity to grow and succeed through intellectual, oral, and written channels. We tend to believe that intelligence and knowledge are the most important keys to solving problems. We value communication and interaction. Gemini is the most curious sign of the zodiac that enjoys mental adventure, is ready and willing to learn, engages in “mind expansion,” and is generally very fair and open-minded.

During this transit, we use our resourcefulness and ingenuity, are versatile, sociable, and curious, and put others at ease with our kindness and genuine curiosity. Gemini Energy has a reputation for shallowness. It’s better known for impulsive brainstorms than for fully formed strategies. However, as Jupiter in this sign harmonizes with profound Pluto on June 2nd, ideas could be deeper than they appear. Gemini’s social nature connects people from different walks of life, and this cross-pollination may produce transformative alliances.

That said, tempering our expectations might be necessary at times. Jupiter will clash against gloomy Saturn in Pisces on August 19th and again on December 24th. Under these transits, our desire to be optimistic may conflict with heavy emotions that can’t just be wished away. Spiritual bypassing is a big hazard here. We’ll have to remember that uncomfortable feelings are less likely to last forever if they’re allowed to flow along their natural course instead of being suppressed.

Master Teacher Saturn continues to transit spiritual Pisces throughout 2024. We might expect to pour more energy into fixing broken structures, particularly for those in our society who’ve been forgotten or the downtrodden. Ideally, we’re able to put our egos aside to do what’s best for the collective. Even so, there can be more rules and structures imposed upon these systems that may feel overly restrictive if Saturn in Pisces isn’t working ideally.

It can certainly be a time when we are more cautious and careful in our spiritual or private lives. New ways of approaching times of rest, reflection, and downtime can be in order. We’re doing things differently because of our new perspective on these matters. As we look at these things more critically, different methods and approaches naturally emerge. However, it’s not the time so much for innovation as it is for simplification and quality testing.

Pluto will be a major player in 2024. Pluto will re-enter Aquarius on January 20, 2024, and remain there until September 1, 2024. It will retrograde back into the last degree of Capricorn until November 19, 2024. After which it will remain in Aquarius until March 8, 2043.

Pluto represents themes surrounding destruction, death, and rebirth, while Aquarius represents revolution, rebellion, and reshaping humanity. Pluto’s role is to keep the engine of the universe going, by eliminating what can no longer sustain life. If something is rotten, Pluto will eliminate it, if something has outlived its usefulness, it is gone, leaving space for healthy growth.

Pluto in Aquarius means revolution, and with that comes a need to evaluate the current state of the world. As astrologer Robert Hand writes in his book “Horoscope Symbols,” the influence of Pluto is intrinsically linked with the cycle of beginnings and ends. “Pluto represents an evolutionary power built into the nature of things. Living things develop: they grow, die, decay, and are changed into something else. Cultures rise, fall, and become the seeds of new cultures,” Hand explains. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was during a period of massive change all over the world. And after dealing with the authoritative and restrictive reach of Pluto in Capricorn, this change couldn’t come at a better time.

Pluto in Aquarius will spend its time shaking up all preconceived notions and beliefs around society, technology, social media, and more, and you can expect things to become even tenser when these transits ignite the flames of change and begin the decentralization of existing power structures. While Pluto hangs out in the sign of rebellious Aquarius over the next twenty years several other key planets will make their move through Aries, the sign of pioneering aggression — first will be Saturn from 2025 to 2028; and next with Neptune from 2025 to 2039.

Over the coming years as Pluto gets entangled with planets in Aries conflict is sure to arise as humanity breaks away from the norm. The passionate connection between these planets will spark conversations around enlightenment, exploration, leadership, and new frontiers…..space and time travel anyone?

Pluto’s entry into Aquarius is by far the most important planetary shift of our generation. Pluto’s entry into Capricorn in 2008 was felt immediately with a global recession and the collapse of the real estate market in the U.S. During Pluto in Capricorn, cracks began to show in the facades of big everything: big media, big business, big government, and big tech prove themselves to be the largely out of touch, while also becoming increasingly authoritarian, censorious and unjust to compensate and maintain a firm grip on their lapsing power.

In 2024, transformative Pluto will spend most of its transit in visionary Aquarius Before experiencing its last hurrah in Capricorn that will last from September 1st through November 19th, which covers the period that includes “selection day” Oops, I mean Election Day in the United States. “IF” we do have an election, the result will be clear and decisive.

Pluto’s time in Capricorn will once again highlight the failure of top-down authority figures, corporations, and power structures that have controlled humanity for such a long time. During this last visit to Capricorn, we can see some major changes in countries, corporations, institutions, and the status quo. Pluto moving to Aquarius thereafter will have us focusing on the future, change, our dreams, and the collective.

The eclipses this year continue to emphasize self-awareness, assertion, and partnerships that have outlived their usefulness and making way for new relationships.
2024 Eclipses, All four of them:
Lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25
Solar eclipse in Aries on April 8
Lunar eclipse in Pisces on September 17
Solar eclipse in Libra on October 2

The first eclipse of 2024 occurs on March 25th in Libra. This is the third eclipse in a set of six occurring along the Aries-Libra axis from April 20th, 2023, to March 29, 2025. The first one was a Total Solar Eclipse in late Aries. While we’ve been focusing on building our independence and working on assertiveness since April 2023, this March lunar eclipse in Libra prompts us to consider healthy relating and how it affects the process.

Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened at this time. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic–everything feels big and larger than life at this time. Epiphanies are likely as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action, although there can be some initial levels of chaos. This is a time to work on clearing up past patterns that have been holding us back from relationship fulfillment.

The second eclipse of 2024 emphasizes the fiery sign of Aries on April 8th. This Solar eclipse can highlight and challenge issues surrounding independence and personal courage. We might take steps towards self-mastery and self-empowerment by tackling things that undermine us. It’s a powerful time to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch or taking a risk. Aries learn through experience and action, so we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now.

The third eclipse of 2024 will be on September 17th in the mystical sign of Pisces. With the Virgo-Pisces service axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants. We are encouraged to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces). Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.

The last eclipse of 2024 will occur on October 2nd highlighting the sign of balance, Libra. This New Moon Solar Eclipse brings fresh and creative energy into our lives, and more specifically, into our relationships. This is a cycle in which balancing our close personal relationships becomes an urgent desire. Negotiations may be especially effective, as we are inclined to assert our needs in ways that don’t offend others. A Mars-Saturn trine can help us see the value of pacing ourselves and keeping our feet on the ground. Libra’s ruler, Venus, also harmonizes with Mars and Saturn.

However, this eclipse is square feisty Mars, and some prematurity is possible. Mercury aligns with the Sun and Moon, pointing to a lot of thought and discussion going into our new beginnings. However, because this is an eclipse, we’re not seeing the whole picture yet. Over the course of the next year, it will reveal its true intention. I think we’re in for a wild ride in 2024 friends! Get ready for significant change.
