Hi Friends,
We have quite an astrological month ahead. The doorway to the past will be wide open as we begin September with five planets in retrograde and Mercury will be going retrograde at the end of the month as well. At the onset of the month, the sacred Sun continues to roll through the gardens of Virgo until September 22nd. We will be deeply interested in creating a work-life balance that validates and fulfills us. Now will be a time when the human collective is especially focused on global health and a great deal of progress can be made to improve it.
This month’s New Moon on September 6th will also be in Virgo which unlocks a door for you to improve your routine for the rest of year. The energy of Virgo is all about creating plans that are sustainable and that help us to build a better future.
The New Moon in Virgo is an excellent time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Virgin. These include:
• Building healthy routines, constructive discrimination;
• Rolling up our sleeves and getting down to some serious work;
• Focusing on new projects that requires attention to details;
• Making lists, completing small activities, and taking pride in our “small” accomplishments;
• Starting a new exercise program or eating regime, researching nutrition and nourishment;
• Setting up specific routines that will help us manage our lives in constructive and meaningful way;
• Handling the finer details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion.
This New Moon’s trine to Uranus suggests we’re not only open to the new, but we’re also embracing change. We’re ready to make something special of our work, routines, or tasks and likely finding new methods that change the way we do things. It’s a powerful time for practical solutions and innovation in our jobs, health, self-care programs, and habits.
Our passion increases on September 10th when Venus enters intense Scorpio. Venus in Scorpio is perhaps one of the most sensuous of all planetary placements. Here our Lady of Love is more than at home giving physical expression to her deeply felt emotions. Scorpio is a fixed water sign, so when our feelings of love get combined with that energy, you can expect a pretty permanent attachment. Total obsession is more like it. All is well as long as the object of our affections returns the feelings with the same level of intensity. If they slack off just a bit, those amorous attentions can just as easily turn into jealousy and resentment. Venus in Scorpio does not let go easily, physically or emotionally.
Our indecisiveness goes up a few notches as Mars enters Libra on September 14th. Mars in Libra is in its detriment, (a place where the expression of the planet’s natural inclinations are confined or restricted by qualities of the sign not beneficial to it). Mars, God of War, is not at all happy to be in a sign where polite conversation and tact are the rules of the day. He doesn’t like all that pussy-footing around. Understandably, from time to time; he has a little explosion and tells it like he sees it. When Mars is in Libra, we all become a little feistier, perhaps shooting off our mouths, only to recant upon hearing the next reasonable argument. On the plus side, we have lots of energy to put into getting our party together and throwing an all-together perfect bash with all the harmony we can stand.
This month’s Full Moon on September 20th will highlight the mystical sign of Pisces. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, relationships, and in this case, fantasy and illusion. The Virgo Sun and Pisces Moon polarity is the service axis, and it deals with the balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).Virgo rules our personal set of tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools that we use to deal with our spirituality.
This lunation occurs when the Sun is approaching an alignment with Mars and after the Moon aligns with Neptune. It harmonizes with Pluto. This is a potent, intense, and revealing time. Our discoveries and epiphanies are exciting and passionate, but we may also deal with overblown expectations at this time. It’s important to watch for fantasies taking over. Instead, we can aim to allow our dreams to motivate us.
The need for balance and fairness will increase when the Sun enters Libra on September 22nd. This is the day of the Autumnal Equinox, when the Sun is half way around the zodiac and the days and nights are equal. There is as much of the journey left as has already been traveled. We can look as far into the past as we can into the future. The sign of Libra, (symbolized by the scales) is all about weighing and balancing everything to insure equality and fairness. During this month, our efforts are focused on creating and maintaining harmony – in our surroundings, in our relationships, in our words and deeds. To that end, we avoid confrontations, we look at both sides of every issue, and above all, the colors have to match!
The doorway to the past opens wide on September 26th when Mercury goes retrograde in Libra. When the planet of reason turns backwards in the sign of indecision, you guessed it! Don’t bother expecting anything to get decided until this is over. If you do happen to actually make a decision, it will probably be reversed when Mercury turns direct again.
Libra is known for weighing all the evidence and carefully making sure that both glasses are filled to exactly the same level, but this is ridiculous. Libra is also known to love a good party, so just enjoy it for what it is and have a good time. You can decide if you really wanted to go later. Mercury will go direct on October 18th.
Have a Fabulous month Folks!
