Hi Friends,
The strong cosmic winds of change continue this month, albeit not as strong as last. We have Uranus slowing down to retrograde in Taurus, while Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn for the last time. The New Moon and Mercury will highlight Virgo, suggesting better health care and service to others. Mars will also switch signs in September allowing us to change our drive and ambitions. We also find ourselves in Eclipse season again, as a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces will dissolve illusions and fantasies about reality. In the latter part of the month, we’ll be seeing more peace and tranquility thanks to the Sun and Mercury entering Libra.
On the first day of September, Uranus begins to go retrograde in Taurus. Since Uranus entered Taurus back in May 2018. Uranus’s transit through Taurus, an earth sign, has destabilized areas such as money, possessions, values, and physical pleasure. We have had to change how we interact in these areas and this will continue until July 7, 2025, when it enters Gemini. This final retrograde in Taurus this year will bring unexpected changes in finances and material possessions. Since Taurus rules money and material goods, Uranus retrograde here might bring unexpected shifts in these areas. This could involve sudden changes in our financial situations, or re-evaluating our relationship with money and possessions.
Other areas this retrograde will affect are rethinking stability and security. This retrograde can prompt us to reconsider what makes us feel secure and stable. This might involve questioning traditional values or structures we’ve relied on. We might find ourselves revisiting old ideas with a new perspective, particularly in areas related to practicality, such as our approach to work, health, or daily routines.
This retrograde will show us how we resist change. Taurus is a sign that does not like change, and Uranus retrograde might highlight areas where we’re holding on too tightly to the status quo. This period can be a time to reflect on why we’re resisting change and whether it’s truly serving us. On the positive side of this reversal, Uranus retrograde often turns the energy of revolution inward, leading to personal breakthroughs or inner awakenings. In Taurus, this might relate to our values, self-worth, or how we interact with the physical world.
On September 2, Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn for the last time in our lifetime. Pluto is the planet of transformation, power, and deep psychological change, while Capricorn is associated with structure, authority, discipline, and long-term goals. During this last reversal in Capricorn, we’ll be revisiting structural changes and systems in our lives. This could involve revisiting themes related to career, authority, and societal structures that have been transforming since Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008.
Other areas include issues related to power, control, and authority can come to the forefront. This transit might highlight where power struggles exist and where transformation is necessary. Of course, endings and beginnings will be associated during this backward cycle. Pluto rules over death and rebirth, so during its retrograde in Capricorn, we might experience significant endings or closures, making way for new beginnings, especially in areas related to our professional life and long-term goals. Since Pluto is associated with the psyche, we will need to face our deep psychological concerns. Pluto retrograde is a time for introspection and confronting deep-seated fears, obsessions, and desires. In Capricorn, this might involve facing issues related to ambition, responsibility, and societal expectations.
On the positive side, this final Pluto retrograde in Capricorn will offer us an opportunity to strengthen or rebuild the foundational aspects of our lives. This could mean reevaluating our purpose, and career path, redefining long-term goals, or restructuring our approach to responsibilities.
The New Moon in Virgo also on September 2, brings a time of new beginnings, particularly related to organization, health, and practical matters. Virgo is an Earth sign known for its attention to detail, analytical thinking, and desire for improvement. During this New Moon, it’s an ideal time to set intentions around areas such as work routines, health regimens, and personal efficiency.
The primary areas of focus will be:
• Health and Wellness: Virgo rules health, making this an excellent time to start a new diet, exercise routine, or other wellness practices.
• Organization and Planning: You might feel a strong urge to organize your life, declutter your space, or create more efficient systems for your daily tasks.
• Practical Intentions: Set goals that are realistic and achievable. Virgo’s energy favors practical and grounded intentions, so this is a good time to take small, manageable steps toward your larger goals.
• Attention to Detail: Virgo’s influence can help you notice the small details that you might normally overlook. This can be a great time for refining projects or making adjustments that lead to better outcomes.
This New Moon offers a supportive energy for starting something new, particularly if it involves improving your life in practical, tangible ways.
On September 4, Mars enters Cancer, the planet of action, drive, and aggression moves into a sign known for its emotional sensitivity, nurturing qualities, and protective nature. This transit can create an interesting dynamic where the fiery and assertive energy of Mars is softened by the watery, intuitive, and home-oriented Cancer.
Here’s what to expect during this transit:
• Emotional Motivation: Your actions might be more driven by emotions and instincts rather than pure logic or ambition. You could feel a strong desire to protect your loved ones, home, or personal space, and this can be a time when you act on your feelings more than usual.
• Focusing on Home and Family: Mars in Cancer often directs energy toward domestic matters. You might feel motivated to make changes in your home environment, spend more time with family, or address any issues related to your living situation.
• Indirect Approach to Conflict: Instead of confronting issues head-on, Mars in Cancer may lead to a more passive-aggressive approach or a tendency to retreat when faced with conflict. People might feel more defensive or protective of their emotions, leading to potential challenges in direct communication.
• Nurturing Actions: This transit can encourage acts of kindness, caring, and support. You might find yourself taking action to nurture others, whether through cooking, caretaking, or simply providing emotional support.
• Creative and Intuitive Energy: Mars in Cancer can enhance creative and intuitive pursuits, particularly those that involve expressing emotions or connecting with your inner self. This is a good time for artistic projects, writing, or other forms of creative expression.
Overall, Mars in Cancer brings a shift from the assertive and outward-focused energy of Mars into a more inward, emotionally-driven mode of action. This transit is a time to focus on what truly matters to you on an emotional level and to take actions that align with your feelings and instincts.
When Mercury re-enters Virgo on September 9, the planet of communication, intellect, and travel returns to one of the signs it rules, making this a particularly powerful and beneficial placement for Mercury. Virgo’s energy enhances Mercury’s natural strengths, such as analytical thinking, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving.
During this transit, we will enhance communication and clarity now that it’s moving direct again. Mercury in Virgo sharpens your mental faculties, making it easier to communicate, precisely, and effectively. This is a great time for writing, editing, studying, and any tasks that require a focused and detail-oriented approach. Virgo’s influence makes you more meticulous and thorough in your work. Whether it’s organizing your workspace, refining a project, or going over details, you’ll likely find it easier to spot errors and make improvements.
One thing Virgo is very good at is practical problem-solving: This transit favors practical thinking and finding efficient solutions to everyday problems. Mercury in Virgo is excellent for planning, organizing, and managing tasks that require a methodical approach. Virgo is associated with health and well-being, and with Mercury here, you might find yourself more interested in learning about wellness practices, nutritional information, or ways to improve your daily routines for better health.
The combination of Mercury’s intellectual energy and Virgo’s work ethic can lead to a significant increase in productivity. This is a favorable time for tackling complex tasks, completing projects, or handling paperwork. Mercury direct in Virgo will help your ability to think critically and logically, just be mindful of not becoming overly critical or nitpicky, especially in your interactions with others.
The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 17, is a significant astrological event that brings powerful energies of culmination, release, and transformation. Lunar eclipses are often more intense than regular full moons, as they can bring hidden matters to the surface and catalyze major life changes. In Pisces, a sign associated with spirituality, intuition, and emotional depth, this eclipse is likely to stir up profound feelings and insights.
A Lunar eclipse is an especially potent lunation, in this case, a potent Full Moon. Lunar eclipses are relationship-oriented. The “crisis” that these eclipses tend to elicit is a crisis of lack–a time when we suddenly realize a great need or want. The impact of the crisis can act to sever a relationship–it’s possible. But it can also bring two people together with a sudden awareness of a great need for each other.
Although Lunar eclipses are more relationship-oriented than Solar eclipses, they are not always about relationships between two people. They can trigger awareness of need in other areas of our lives, such as our relationship to work, to our health and bodies, and so forth. This is a time when matters come to light–things that have been brewing under the surface.
When a Full Moon occurs, we can suddenly burst forth with proclamations and outpours that seem fresh and new, simply because they are not yet rationalized. A Lunar eclipse is a more potent Full Moon, and its effects tend to last longer. Many astrologers believe that the effects of a Lunar eclipse last approximately six months.
Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. With the Virgo-Pisces service axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants. We are encouraged to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).
Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.
A crisis of sorts (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts. Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened dramatically shortly after the eclipse. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic. Epiphanies are likely at this time as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action.
This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces is a powerful opportunity for deep emotional and spiritual transformation thanks to its conjunction with Neptune. It’s a time to release what no longer aligns with your true self, embrace your intuitive insights, and trust in the process of change. Be gentle with yourself and others as you navigate the intense energies of this eclipse.

The Fall Equinox and the Sun’s entry into Libra invite you to embrace balance in your life and relationships, to seek harmony in your surroundings, and to reflect on the changes that the season brings. It’s a time to honor both the light and the dark, the outer and the inner, as you move into the more introspective phase of the year.

It’s a time to let go of what no longer serves you in love and embrace growth. The intensity of Venus in Scorpio can also bring out possessive or jealous tendencies in relationships. It’s important to be mindful of these feelings and to communicate openly to avoid misunderstandings or conflicts.
Venus in Scorpio is known for its association with the hidden, the taboo, and the mysterious. During this transit, you may find yourself drawn to explore aspects of love and desire that are more unconventional or previously unexplored. This transit is a powerful time for deepening relationships, exploring the depths of your desires, and embracing transformation in love and values. While the energy can be intense, it also offers the opportunity for profound growth and emotional connection.
When Mercury enters Libra on September 26, the planet of communication, intellect, and decision-making moves into a sign that values balance, harmony, and relationships. Libra’s influence on Mercury encourages thoughtful communication, diplomacy, and a focus on fairness in interactions.
Mercury in Libra enhances your ability to communicate with grace and tact. You’ll likely find it easier to navigate sensitive conversations, mediate conflicts, and express your thoughts in a way that considers others’ perspectives.
Conversations and thoughts may center around partnerships and relationships of all kinds, whether it’s in your personal or professional life, this is a time to discuss relationship dynamics, make compromises, and seek mutual understanding.
Libra’s influence promotes balance and fairness in your thinking. You may feel more inclined to weigh all sides of an issue before making a decision. This can lead to more equitable outcomes, though it might also cause some indecisiveness as you consider all options. Mercury in Libra can enhance your appreciation for beauty and aesthetics. This is a great time for creative pursuits, whether it’s writing, designing, or simply enjoying the arts. You might also find yourself more focused on how things look or are presented.
Mercury’s transit through Libra brings a period of thoughtful, harmonious communication and a focus on relationships and fairness. It’s a time to engage in balanced discussions, appreciate beauty, and work collaboratively with others to achieve mutual understanding and equitable outcomes.
